The holidays are coming and this year I’m bringing the pumpkin pies. Which got me to thinking about making a keto pumpkin cocktail recipe for the blog! It’s all the flavor of a piece of pumpkin pie but in drink form and only 2.6g net carbs!
When I had my hubby and father in law taste test these holiday drinks one night, they raved about them. I gave my son a non alcoholic version and he loved it as well. So this creamy cocktail recipe is sure to please everyone.
Recipe ingredients I used and substitutions.
This tasty keto fall cocktail only needs a few ingredients and a few minutes to make. I used real pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup, heavy cream and vanilla vodka.
Torani Sugar Free Syrups
If you’ve followed my blog you know I love these keto friendly syrups for so many of my recipes. They have a wide variety, taste great and you can make so many low carb recipes with them. Check out Torani’s vast assortment of sugar free syrups here. My hubby is now hooked on them as much as I am! He loves to add the sugar free peach to his iced tea and the fall flavors in his oatmeal.
A couple months ago I made a keto cinnamon toast coffee that also used this Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup. So if you already have a bottle from that recipe you can use it again here.
If you don’t have any syrup you can use a sugar free simple syrup, brown sugar sweetener, SweetLeaf vanilla stevia (liquid) or even sugar free maple syrup. You will have to taste test to get the right level of sweetness that you like.
Pumpkin Puree and Pumpkin Pie Spice
You want to use pure canned pumpkin and not the canned filling which has a lot of sugar in it. And the spice can be found anywhere. I know Aldi carries it and it’s just a combination of warm spices (cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and ground cloves). Cinnamon would also work nice as a substitute or in addition.
Heavy Cream and Vanilla Vodka
The heavy cream really adds to the drink but if you are dairy free you could use coconut cream or coconut milk but it will alter the taste a bit. It will still be tasty though. And I like Absolut flavored vodkas because they do not have any carbs.
The vanilla adds a nice touch for this dessert cocktail. As I mentioned above you don’t need to use any alcohol or you could also use plain vodka and maybe a bit of vanilla extract.
How to make this keto pumpkin cocktail recipe.
For this recipe I used a shaker glass but you could use a large glass pyrex measuring cup too.
- Fill two cocktail glasses with ice cubes.
- Add the pumpkin puree, spices, Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup, vodka and a little water to a cocktail shaker cup. I used one ounce of vodka for 2 drinks.
- Whisk or shake the cocktail shaker until it’s well combined and then pour into the glasses.
- Pour a tablespoon of heavy cream on the top of each glass and let it seep down.
- Add whipped cream on top if you want as it’s optional.
You could also sprinkle some ground cinnamon on top to add a little color or a couple cinnamon sticks for garnish. Or if you forgo the whipped cream, you can make a sugar free cinnamon sugar with sweetener and rim the glasses with it.
I like the contrast of the white and orange colors and that’s why I poured the cream on top. If you want you can just add the heavy cream to the drink from the beginning.
This recipe only makes 2 servings. However you could easily double or triple the ingredients to make these drinks for a holiday party. And if you want to make it a bit fancier, you can serve them in a martini glass.
How to make this into a pumpkin pie slushy.
It was a hot day when I created this recipe so I made a slushy one too and it was awesome! I used the same ingredients except the water and used ice instead. I just blended it up and it was delicious.
I have the instructions for you below. Please scroll down for the printable recipe card.
Recipe Notes And Tips
- Make sure you are using pure canned pumpkin. The ingredients should only include pumpkin. Do not use pumpkin pie filling.
- I used Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup but they have many other flavors that would work well. Some other flavors would be S’mores, Cinnamon Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, French Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice and Salted Caramel.
- I used vanilla vodka to give this drink even more flavor. Most Absolut flavored vodkas don’t have carbs but some flavored vodkas do. Just check them out before adding to your drinks. You can also just use plain vodka.
- Note that you don’t have to make this drink with alcohol and it will still be delicious.
- If you are making this pumpkin drink for a crowd, you can easily double or triple the ingredients. You can serve in a martini glass or mason jar.
- You can add the heavy cream at the beginning if you want. I added it at the end because I liked the way it looked. Also the whipped cream on top is just optional and not included in the nutritional information below.

This keto pumpkin cocktail recipe is really good and would be great if you wanted to treat yourself on the weekend with or without the alcohol. Try serving it for Thanksgiving dinner or at a holiday party too. And if you don’t care about carbs a scoop of vanilla ice cream would be delicious!
My husband thought this festive drink was too froufrou for him. However once he tasted it he LOVED it and ended up drinking two of them. And what I like it that you can serve them at cocktail hour or for dessert as an after dinner drink. I hope you enjoy it too!

What an absolutely delightful idea to turn all the holiday flavors of pumpkin pie into a yummy, special drink! So festive – and easy to make, too (because who has time for fussy recipes at the holidays?!?)! Extra-fun that it can be a slushy, too!
