Hi, my name is Denise and I love food, family and all things related to a healthy life style. I’ve spent years dieting and am now at a place where I just want to find a healthy yet satisfying way of eating for life.
Most of the recipes you will find here are quick and easy low carb dishes. I’ve found over the years that a low carb or keto lifestyle seems to work best for me.

I also have some Paleo recipes as well as old family recipes that my mom used to make. Those recipes are very special to me and I like to have them around not only because they taste great but because they bring back good memories for me.
When I’m not at home cooking (or working on this blog) it’s all about family. I grew up with a big, loving family so I have lots of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, step children, grandchildren and in laws that are all very important to me.
In my day to day life I live with my best friend and husband Rick (see below), my son Max who is the light of my life and my entertaining father in law. They are the ones I cook for on a regular basis. All of these people make up a big part of my life and I feel very blessed to have them all.
Why I Called This My Life Cookbook
I always thought there was a “trick” or easier way to doing everyday tasks and I seem to be pretty good at figuring them out. Originally I wanted to write about many aspects of my life such as family, health, books, essential oils, travel, etc. and share all my tips for each of these subjects. I thought of this blog as a “cookbook” for making all areas of my life easier.
However over time I just found a love of cooking low carb recipes and have been enjoying sharing all I know on that subject alone. I hope you find a few recipes that make your life a little easier and that you thoroughly enjoy!
