I have always a been a big fan of flatbread pizzas, ever since my sister showed me that you can make them with naan bread. I always used Aldi’s naan bread which is delicious by the way, until I noticed that they offer premade flatbreads and they come 2 to a package.
Since then we have flatbread pizzas for dinner whenever I don’t want to make a big meal. They take minutes to put together and then pop them in the oven while you get a salad made. Most of these recipes will help you get dinner on the table in 20 minutes or less. They would be a lot of fun to experiment with on your next pizza night.
Which is better, Aldi flatbread or naan bread?
Below you can the flatbread on the left and the naan bread on the right. Both work great for making appetizers and both have delicious taste on their own. Just load them up with flavorful ingredients and that’s it. You can get about 8 pieces out of both types of bread.
I like to use the rectangular flatbread as a base when I have a party with many people as it’s easier to cut equal sized pieces than the naan bread which is an oval shape. Naan bread is also great for personal pizzas though. So basically which ever you want to use it will work.
Below are the 8 Aldi flatbread pizza recipes for you. They are full of flavor and are a wide variety from bbq chicken to peach basil. I have 8 recipe that I have made with both the naan bread and the premade flatbreads.
Here are the ingredients for each flavor.
- BBQ Chicken – bbq sauce, cooked chicken, cheddar cheese mozzarella cheese, red onion, fresh jalapeno pepper, cilantro leaves
- Zucchini & Tomato – fresh zucchini, garlic, olive oil, fresh tomatoes, hot pepper flakes, fresh basil leaves, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses
- Peach & Basil – olive oil, garlic, fresh peaches, basil leaves, fresh mozzarella, balsamic vinegar
- Apple & Cheese – apples, gouda cheese, asiago cheese, proscuitto ham, fresh spinach, olive oil, red onion slices
- Proscuitto & Ricotta – prosciutto ham, olive oil, garlic, fresh mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, shaved parmesan, fresh basil, hot pepper flakes
- Mushroom – fresh mushrooms, olive oil, butter, fresh garlic, gouda and asiago cheeses, fresh herbs
- Italian Sausage & Peppers – Italian sausage, olive oil, garlic, sweet bell peppers, spinach, onion, asiago cheese
- Spicy Jambalaya – cooked shrimp, kielbasa, cooked chicken, cajun spices, marinara sauce, garlic, jalapeno slices, sweet peppers and mozzarella.
