Growing up my mom used to use her pressure cooker mostly to cook stews. It really made the meat tender. However they seemed terrifying to me. Actually I got a pressure cooker for my wedding and it sat unopened for years because I was afraid I’d misuse it and blow up my house.

Pressure cooking has come along way and the Instant Pot makes it painless. Not only can you pressure cook, you can also use it as a slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, etc. I love it because I know I can make a slow cooker type recipe in a fraction of the time.
