What is sriracha sauce and is it keto?
If you’ve never had sriracha sauce it’s a Thai condiment that has the consistency of ketchup. It’s made with chili peppers, sugar, garlic, vinegar, and salt. Huy Fong’s is the most popular brand and has a rooster on the bottle. Some people refer to it as “rooster sauce”. (source)
Just like people use ketchup on almost everything, the same could be said of this condiment. I would consider sriracha sauce to be keto because you would not use much of it due to the heat. This recipe for example only uses 2 teaspoons.

How to make seared tuna steaks with creamy sriracha sauce.
Step 1: To make the sauce, add ½ cup of mayonnaise with 1 crushed clove of garlic and 2 teaspoons of sriracha. Mix well and taste to see if you want it hotter or not and adjust accordingly.
Step 2: Spray a skillet with nonstick cooking spray then heat to a medium high heat. Sprinkle some salt and pepper over the tuna steaks then set them into the hot skillet. Then turn the heat down to medium
Step 3: Sear each side for about 3-5 minutes without disturbing them. The cooking time may differ depending on how thick your steaks are. The meat will cook it’s way up the steak from the bottom. So once it has cooked ¼ of the way up flip it to the other side.
Then take it out of the pan when that side has cooked ¼ of the way up. This will give you a rare center which tastes better in my opinion.
Step 4: Let the tuna rest for a few minutes then spoon the sauce over top or serve along the side as a dip. You may want to add a teaspoon or 2 of water if you want it thin enough to spoon over the fish.
So you can see how this easy keto dinner can be done in just 15 minutes. If you don’t like your tuna rare, just cook it a few minutes longer.
