With keto Alfredo sauce, chicken and zucchini noodles will taste like a decadent low carb dinner any night of the week. Only 2g net carbs for ¼ cup of Alfredo sauce!

One thing I’ve learned from eating vegetable noodles is that they can be quite tasty. That is if you put very tasty sauces on them! Today I was in the mood for some keto Alfredo sauce on my zucchini noodles and decided to add a little chicken too! This was a really quick and easy low carb dinner that was almost as good as the real thing. I will definitely be making this keto Alfredo sauce again and maybe just use it on vegetables.

Other Creamy Keto Sauces To Try

I like creamy sauces so give one of these a try:

  • roasted red pepper sauce
  • carbonara sauce
  • lemon dijon sauce
  • gruyere mushroom sauce
  • sun dried tomato & basil sauce

Keto Alfredo Sauce Ingredients

Alfredo sauce is actually quite easy to make. It only requires cream cheese, garlic, butter, heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.  These are low carb ingredients that I usually have on hand so I can make this anytime.

How To Make Alfredo Sauce

You start by melting butter in a small sauce pan. Add in the crushed garlic and saute a minute until fragrant. Then add in the cream cheese, heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Whisk for a few minutes until all the cheese is melted and well combined. Take off the stove and use immediately.

What To Use This Alfredo Sauce With

For this recipe I used this sauce on wide zucchini noodles. They seem to be the right kind of noodle to mimic regular pasta in my opinion. However I think this sauce would be great over chicken breast, fish and even be delicious on vegetable side dishes.

I hope you enjoy this deliciously creamy keto sauce. It makes roughly 1 ¼ cups of sauce and the nutrition for 1 tablespoon is:

60 cals / 5.8g fat / 0.5g carbs / 1.5g protein = 05 net carbs

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 cooked chicken breast (optional)
  • 2 zucchinis made into noodles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small sauce pan, melt the butter and add in the crushed garlic. Saute until fragrant (1 minuter or so).

  2. Add in the cream cheese, heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Whisk until the cheese is melted and well combined.

  3. Take off stove and use immediately.

  4. If using with chicken and zucchini: To make the zucchini noodles use a potato peeler and make wide noodles from the zucchini. Microwave for 3 minutes or more depending how soft you like your noodles. Plate the noodles and then the cooked chicken breast and top with Alfredo sauce.

  5. NOTE: The nutrition for this recipe is for 1 tablespoon of sauce only. The whole recipe makes roughly 1 ¼ cups of sauce which equals 20 tablespoons. I used about ¼ cup of sauce per plate.

No problem, it’s difficult to write 20 tablespoons in the old recipe card. Once I convert it to my new one it will be more specific. Take care, Denise
