Recently I made low carb fried chicken tenders in the air fryer and it was such a hit with my son, I wanted to try it with pork chops. I decided to cut them in into thin strips and then bread them. These low carb pork chop fries were delicious! Not only did my son love them but I did too. They only need 4 ingredients and you can have these crispy meat fries in less than 20 minutes!

4 Ingredients For These Pork Chop Fries

I bought all of the ingredients for these fried pork chops at Aldi. The ingredients are thin pork chops, pork rinds, ranch dressing and Parmesan cheese. You can see the pork chops I used if you scroll down a bit.

What Kind Of Pork Chops Should I Use?

I bought two kinds of  pork chops from Aldi. I always buy the large pack of thin cut pork chops and bread them for dinner. Today I used those and a thick pork loin chop which you can see below. I liked the thinner ones but the thicker pork chops were more substantial. Use whatever you want but make sure there is no bones and if there is a lot of fat, you will want to trim it first.

Low Carb Pork Chop Fries Recipe

  1. Cut your thin pork chops into fry-like strips and then season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the pork in a baggie with the ranch dressing and squish it around so the pork is covered in dressing.
  3. In a shallow bowl mix the crushed pork rinds and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Place the pork strips in the breadcrumb mixture and coat on all sides
  5. Place in the basket of the air fryer and cook for 15 minutes.

Place them in the air fryer and cook at 380 degrees F for 10 minutes then turn the heat up to 400 degrees F for 5 more minutes. This will make them nice and crunchy.

Dips For These Pork Chop Fries

I made a dip with hot mustard and mayo for the fries but I also have a few aioli recipes that would be yummy too:

  • garlic aioli
  • jalapeno aioli
  • buffalo aioli
  • tomato bacon jam
  • creamy avocado lime dip

Above you can see the difference between the thin pork chops and the thicker. The thicker pork chop fries are on the bigger plate and the thinner pork chop fries are on the small plate.  Below is a plate of the thinner fries. They get more crispy because the higher breading to meat ratio.

To Make In The Oven Or Stovetop

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place the  breaded pork chops on a sprayed cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until cooked through. To make on the stove, heat some oil in a large skillet and brown on all sides. If they are thin they should be cooked through. If they aren’t place in the oven to continue cooking.

What Kind Of Air Fryer Do I Use?

I want to first point out the old air fryer I had used  was a XL Air Fryer by Cozyna (5.8qt). It wasn’t very expensive but it did have a large basket which is necessary to roast a turkey breast or chicken.

My new air fryer is a Chefman 6.3 qt digital air fryer. You can use it to dehydrate and it has a rotisserie spit! However I really like that it has a window so you can see your food as it’s cooking.

I hope you like these low carb pork chop fries as much as we do. I make breaded pork chops often so now I think I will try this version more often. The nutritional information for 1 serving is:

471 cals / 33.2g fat / 2.7g carbs / 0.1g fiber / 41g protein = 2.6g net carbs

Where To Buy Pork Rind Breading

Crushed pork rinds is ingenious! I think I’ll be trying various ways of using this type of breading for LOTS of different things. I imagine chicken tenders and beef strips would be pretty good this way too – just using different dry seasonings appropriate to each. I’ll be trying this recipe soon!
