We tend to hang out at the pool quite a bit in the summer. Whether we are on vacation or on a staycation. Summer is also a time when my hubby likes to have people over for drinks. While trying to concoct different low carb cocktails to enjoy poolside, I thought it would be fun to make them into pops.
So today I have for you some low carb boozy pops to add a little fun to your summer parties. Or you can grab a couple and enjoy by the pool on a Saturday afternoon. They are low carb and can be made without alcohol too. Plus I have lots of ideas for you to try!

Low Carb Drink Ingredients
When partaking in cocktails on a low carb diet it is best to stay away from beer and to limit your wine to dry ones. However liquor such as tequila, vodka and rum have no carbs but you have to watch what you mix them with. Here are some of my favorite low carb drink ingredients to play around with:
- coconut milk, almond milk and heavy cream for creamy drinks
- herbs and spices like mint, basil, stevia, fresh ginger or cinnamon
- Torani sugar free syrups in fruity flavors for fruit drinks, margaritas, etc
- lime, lemon, orange or grapefruit zest are great in salts for around the rim of a drink
- seltzer waters, sugar free soda, sugar free mixers or even flavored tea for low carb mixers
Low Carb Boozy Pops – Margaritas
This was our favorite pop because my hubby and I like our margaritas. I made an awesome jalapeño Pineapple margarita awhile back that went over very well. The nice thing about margaritas is that it tastes great in just about any fruit flavor. I happen to have a vast collection of Torani sugar free syrups in fruit flavors so I made blue raspberry, strawberry, pineapple and lime margarita pops. All were delicious!
Creamy Low Carb Boozy Pops
I chose 2 creamy drink recipes to try today and they came out delicious as well! My husband preferred the Vodka Chata (like Rum Chata but with vodka) and I liked the White Russian (Kaluha & Cream). With the margarita pops I wanted it to be a bit icy but with the creamy drinks I added a some cream & gelatin for that creamy texture.
I hope you give these low carb boozy pops a shot this summer. There are so many other drinks you can make into tasty boozy pops like mojitos, pina coladas, rum punches and more. It really was quite easy using all of my Torani sugar free syrups and some of the other low carb ingredients I mentioned above.
