Ingredients For This Kielbasa Dinner
Below you can se that I bought all of the ingredients for this keto dinner at Aldi except for the Swerve. The ingredients I used were olive oil, kielbasa, cabbage, butter, garlic, onion powder, hot sauce and Swerve brown sugar sweetener.
Let’s Make Some Keto Kielbasa And Cabbage!
First thing you want to do is slice and brown the kielbasa in a large skillet with the olive oil. Once it’s browned a little take it out and set aside. While it’s cooking slice the cabbage into noodle size pieces.
In the same skillet start making the sauce. Add the butter, garlic, onion powder, hot sauce and Swerve brown sweetener. Whisk to get everything together to get the butter to melt and the sweetener to dissolve.
Now add in the cabbage noodles and mix with the sauce. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes until the noodles soften.
Add back the kielbasa and mix once more. Cook for a few more minutes and then serve.
Recipe Tips & Notes
- Kielbasa can have quite a few carbs so I like to slice it thin and then cut it in half to make it seem like more. However it does add so much flavor to the dish. If you don’t care about carbs you can use as much as you want. I only used ½ of a package.
- You can substitute a flavored sausage instead of kielbasa if you wanted to.
- I tried to keep the carbs down and therefore didn’t make too much sauce but if you want more sauce go for it. The sauce isn’t as high in carbs as the cabbage and kielbasa.
- It’s important to cut the cabbage noodles into thin strips. I used a mandoline to get uniform slices but you can just use a knife. You don’t want them too thick or it will take longer to cook.
Well I hope you like this easy keto kielbasa and cabbage recipe. It’s a simple meal but so easy to make and flavorful. It’s also very filling to me.
The nutritional information for 1 serving is:
