The weather is getting colder and that means sipping hot drinks in our favorite fall flavors but the pumpkin spice latte was so 5 years ago, don’t you think? I decided to try something new this year with one of Torani’s 100+ flavor options and came up with this salted caramel cream low carb coffee drink.
Caramel creams just happen to be my hubby’s favorite candy and I think it’s the perfect flavor for a warming cup of coffee. And of course it is low carb and sugar free!
Torani’s Coffee Drink Recipe Contest
You all know I love my Torani Sugar Free Syrups. If you are on a low carb diet they can be your new best friend. I make so many recipes with these syrups because there are over 30 sugar free flavors to pick from and they are all delicious.
This month Torani is having a contest between us bloggers to come up with the new “pumpkin spice latte” flavor using their syrups so I’m hoping this caramel cream coffee drink will be the winner.
Caramel Cream Coffee Drink Recipe
There are 3 components to this coffee recipe. The coffee is flavored with Torani Sugar Free Salted Caramel Syrup, the whipped cream is flavored with Torani Sugar Free S’mores Syrup and it’s topped with a low carb caramel sauce. So let’s make this new fall coffee flavor winner. (I’m using the power of positive thinking!)
Low Carb Caramel sauce
You only need 3 ingredients for this sauce and it will make enough for about 8 servings. Using a saucepan, melt butter until it starts to brown, then add in heavy cream and sweetener. Whisk and simmer until the sweetener dissolves and it thickens and becomes a syrup. This should take about 5-10 minutes.
Store in the fridge or use right away. Make sure to shake or mix it well before using.
S’mores Whipped Cream
To make the whipped cream, add cold heavy cream along with s’mores syrup and whip until creamy. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
This recipe will make a lot of whipped cream and believe me, you will want to use it on everything!
I hope you enjoyed this recipe and remember me when that contest comes out! You can see a quick video above on how to make this coffee drink recipe.
And please check out and follow Torani on Facebook and Instagram for more recipe inspiration! #PumpkinSoBasic There are SO many ways you can use these syrups.
The nutritional information for a cup of the caramel coffee with 4 tablespoons of the whipped cream and 1 tablespoon of the caramel sauce is:

Salted Caramel Cream Coffee (low carb, sugar free)
If you are looking for something special to sip this fall, try this salted caramel cream coffee. All the creamy sweet flavor of those classic candies in a low carb, sugar free coffee!
Ingredients
S’mores Whipped Cream
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons Torani Sugar Free S’mores Syrup
Salted Caramel Coffee
- 1 cup coffee
- 2 tablespoons Torani Sugar Free Salted Caramel Syrup
Instructions
To make the caramel sauce
-
In a medium skillet, melt the butter and whisk until a light brown color. Add in the cream and sweeter and simmer for about 10 minutes until it reduces and thickens.
-
Pour into a container and set aside for later. Refrigerate after using. Make sure to shake well before using if it’s in the refrigerator. You might even have to warm it a bit in the microwave. Just about 10 seconds and then shake well.
To make the s’mores whipped cream
-
Add the cream and s’mores syrup to a mixing bowl. Beat on high until thick and creamy and forms peaks.
-
Refrigerate until ready to use.
To make the salted caramel cream coffee
-
Add the salted caramel syrup to the coffee and mix. Spoon or pipe whipped cream on top and then drizzle some of the caramel sauce.
-
NOTE: The caramel sauce makes 4 tablespoon servings total so you will have extra. The whipped cream will make roughly 2 cups of whipped cream so you will have plenty left over of that as well.
Deana
Thank you so very much for this wonderful recipe! I used DaVinci sugar free syrups for this and it worked beautifully! I used French Vanilla for the whipped cream and Caramel to my coffee. I added a grind of pink Himalayan salt to the top after I added the whipped topping and caramel sauce. It was to die for! Make sure you use unsalted butter for the caramel sauce. Thanks again for such a wonderful coffee treat! I will make this again and again!
Denise
HI Deana, so glad you liked it! Thanks for coming back to comment and to share your tips. I really appreciate it!

Do I really have to wait for fall to have this? It looks so good and right now I’m feeling so tired. It certainly would perk me up. Both the flavor and the caffeine would do it. I’ll be picking up some Torani to make this
Denise
Hey Marisa, Torani has soooo many flavors to choose from I think you would have to find something you would like@

This looks the ideal winter drink – I love these types of coffee shop coffees, but they are so expensive. Love the home made version, those sauces sound the most awesome flavours!
