These cheesy pizza beef rollups are a fun and delicious low carb dinner you can make with one pan. Thin beef steaks are stuffed with melty, gooey cheese and topped with low carb sauce to make a tasty weeknight meal.

I may have mentioned that I do a lot of my shopping at Aldi. Recently they had thin sliced sirloin steaks and I immediately thought of doing a meat rollup for the blog. I have a braciole recipe on here that is delicious but I wanted to try something else this time. These cheesy pizza beef rollups turned out to be a great family pleaser and were simple to make. Each rollup has just 2.7g net carbs!
A Quick & Easy Low Carb Dinner
This is a very easy recipe so I’m going to keep this recipe short and sweet today. I originally tried this with pepperoni in the middle but to be honest you couldn’t taste the pepperoni. I think if I had put it on top like a regular pizza, it would have worked. Below you can see what the meat looked like once I browned it. And below it that is what they looked like coming out of the oven.
Pizza Beef Rollups Recipe
- Cut thin beef steaks into rectangular pieces.
- Lay provolone on the beef steaks and roll up.
- Secure with tooth picks and then carefully brown in an ovenproof skillet.
- Take out toothpicks and top with low carb marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes or until meat is done.
Aldi For Low Carb Ingredients
It’s no secret I love Aldi and I find lots of low carb ingredients to include in my recipes. This recipe only calls for 5 ingredients and I bought them all at Aldi. When I spotted those thin sirloin steaks, I headed off to the cheese section and bought some provolone and mozzarella. Then I sought out the lowest carb sauce I could find.
The pasta sauce I bought was Specialty Selects Premium Marinara and has only 5g net carbs per cup. However if you don’t have an Aldi near you, I also found this Rao’s Marinara online that only has 4g net carbs per half cup though I have not tried it yet. All of their sauces look to be low in carb.
The serving size for this recipes is pretty big. I hope you like as much as my family did. I hope Aldi keeps stocking these thin steaks because I have more rollup ideas in my head! The nutrition for 1 large roll is:
614 cals / 41.7g fat / 3.4g carbs / 0.7g fiber / 53.7g protein = 2.7g net carbs
Pizza Beef Rollups (low carb)
These cheesy pizza beef rollups are a fun and delicious low carb dinner you can make with one pan. Thin beef steaks are stuffed with melty, gooey cheese and topped with low carb sauce to make a tasty weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs sirloin beef, thinly sliced
- 9 slices provolone cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce, low carb (I used Aldi Specialty Selects Marinara)
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 400 degree F.
-
Depending on the size of your thin sirloin steaks, cut them so they are relatively rectangular. I was able to add 1 ½ slices of provolone to mine and made 6 beef rollups. You can make yours small if you wish.
-
Heat oil in a large oven proof skillet. Add the beef rolls and brown all sides. This should take about 10 minutes.
-
Take off stove and judiciously add the marinara sauce on each roll. Top with the shredded cheese and set in the oven.
-
Bake for 20 - 30 minutes or until the meat is cooked.

This reminds me of braciole, which I’ve had but never made. Yummo! Can’t wait to try it. I may even splurge with a bit of lower carb pasta.
Denise
It is very much like braciole!
