My son is 10 and still obsessed with Minecraft. He plays on his laptop with one friend on the phone and another friend on FaceTime. It’s loud and crazy, but they have so much fun. I can’t say I truly understand Minecraft but from what I’ve read, many schools are now using it as a teaching tool so that makes me feel a little better about all the time he spends playing it. This year I’m getting all my Christmas shopping done super early….like before December early. So I have a list of cool Minecraft things I think Max will like, along with some things he just got for his birthday that he was psyched to get.
Below I have listed a bunch of Amazon.com affiliate links and you can read my disclosure on the side bar. I love Amazon and buy so many things from them be it hard to find health food items or bulk toilet paper. That’s just me. So use this as a guide and know that all of these items can all be found on Amazon.com if you click on the picture and if I have seen them at other retailers I have noted that too. So here goes.
Books
Max loves this series of Minecraft handbooks. He is collecting them all so I’m thinking they are pretty good sources of information. They are only a little over $5 and if you have a Scholastic Book Fair at your school, you can probably find them there too. Target.com also has some cool Minecraft books that I bought Max for Christmas. I’m not sure if they are what he would consider good so I didn’t include them here, but they have a few of the handbooks below and some fiction books based on Minecraft.

T-shirts, Hoodies And Other Clothing
Then there is the ever loving tshirts. I think Max has every Minecraft tshirt ever made. But these are his favorites. My DH likes the periodic table the best because he’s an engineer. Max’s favorite is his “Like A Boss” t-shirt. Hot Topics also carries a few Minecraft tshirts and novelties and sometimes you can find them at Target.

Max doesn’t have any of these items. He’s not a huge creeper fan (the green pixelated character) but I have seen lots of kids in his school with the Creeper Hoodie. If he wore jewelry he would like the blue “diamond” necklace.

Plush Toys
Max and his friends love pigs for some reason. Honestly I don’t even ask why anymore. So they all started out with the Minecraft stuff pig and then it was the sheep and then of course the creeper and enderman and so on. Amazon has a good collection as does Target and Toysrus. They come in different sizes too.

Lego Sets
My son is a huge Lego fan. He hopes to visit every Lego Land in the world someday. We lived in England for a year and he got to visit one there and two here in the U.S. but now I see they have them in Dubai and Malaysia and so forth so I don’t think his chances are good for those. So being a both a huge Lego fan and Minecraft fan of course he wants to collect every Lego Minecraft set available. He has a few of the older ones but these are newer the ones he asked for specifically.

Posters And Vinyl Wall Stickers
Posters are a fairly inexpensive gift helps kids decorate their room with their favorite games, shows, sports, etc. While looking for posters, I came across these cool vinyl wall stickers that have a 3 D effect. Of course Max was interested in the one with the pig (it’s part of the 4 pack). I haven’t seen the wall stickers in any stores except on Amazon but I did see a few posters at 5Below.

Another great source for Minecraft gifts is Etsy. They offer handmade, one of a kind gifts for your Minecraft Maniac. The inventory constantly changes so there are always new things to see. So that is all I have for you today. Please let me know if you have anything cool Minecraft items to add to this list. I’d love to hear about them!

It looked like you were describing my 11-year old son! 🙂 Thanks so much for all your recommendations, he only have some of the posters, but the books or t-shirts might be a good Christmas present!

Well I think I’ve exhausted the Minecraft theme of gifts for my son…thought I’d pass them on to others!

Thankfully we finally are out of the stage where we eat, sleep, breathe Minecraft. They still play it a few times a week though. Now they are into SIMS.
