This s’mores yogurt bark recipe couldn’t be easier and is perfect as a summer treat. Don’t wait for the campfire, use your freezer!
My son loves yogurt. He likes yogurt drinks, kefir, you name it. Now he doesn’t like plain yogurt mind you but he likes yogurt. Since we’ve been having some hot and humid weather I thought I’m mix two of his favorite things for a cold treat … s’mores and yogurt. This couldn’t be easier to make and it’s really a tasty treat.
Another reason I made this recipe is that I’ve had an idea for a s’mores yogurt pop. I have some S’mores Torani Sugar Free Syrup (affiliate link) that I love and thought I could make a lower carb treat for myself somehow. So I used this syrup in the yogurt bark but it’s not necessary. I would add a bit of vanilla or use a vanilla yogurt if you don’t want to go the Torani route.
This is very simple so here we go. First of all I used a silicone baking mold to make it easier to get out however I’m certain a cookie sheet would work just as good. First you add a layer of mini chocolate chips. I like minis because they are easier to eat when frozen. Then make your yogurt mixture which for me was adding some of the S’more Torani syrup and stevia to plain yogurt. As I said above you can use vanilla flavored yogurt instead. You want to spread the yogurt over the chips. This takes a little finessing but it’s not that hard. Next sprinkle some mini marshmallows and lastly sprinkle some graham cracker dust. Try to press down the marshmallows and graham crackers so they stick to the yogurt. Pop it into the freezer for a few hours to harden. When it’s rock hard and frozen, break into pieces and store in a ziplock bag in your freezer. Easy huh? As I said it’s a nice cool summer treat for kids and yourself.
S’mores Yogurt Bark
I like to make a lot of freezer snacks such as my maple walnut fudge, peanut butter cream cheese bites and my chocolate peanut butter treats. However this is my first yogurt bark and I think I will be making more flavors for my son since this s’mores yogurt bark was such a hit. Have you ever made yogurt bark? Do you have any suggestions for my next batch?
