When St. Patrick’s Day rolls around I start thinking of green food related recipes to make. Lately I’ve been enjoying my matcha green tea and decide to make a new recipe. So today I am suggesting that you make this keto mojito flavored matcha green tea drink to start your St. Patrick’s day off right.
It has those classic mojito flavors of mint and lime and you get the added benefit of the matcha green tea. I love the caffeine lift I get from matcha because it doesn’t make me jittery like coffee does plus matcha is very healthy. Best of all this matcha drink has only 16 calories and 0 carbs!
Other Low Carb Matcha Recipes
My friend Debbie sells Steeped tea which I just love. She just started a blog so check out Enjoy Tea With Me if you are a tea lover. Subsequently I have a lot of matcha tea recipes. I mostly make drinks and smoothies but I have also made coconut candies with it.

What Flavors Are In A Mojito?
Mojitos are a Cuban drink that is made with rum, sugar, lime juice and mint. It’s sweet but refreshing and rather a simple drink. These are great flavors and go great with a matcha green tea drink.
Because I wanted to keep this drink low carb, I used of course matcha green tea, peppermint extract, lime zest and Torani sugar free lime syrup. This is a hot drink so that is why I’m using the peppermint extract but if you were to make this a cold drink you could use fresh mint and drink this over ice!
Let’s Make A Mojito Flavored Hot Tea!
This is easiest to make in a blender. So add your hot water into the blender along with all the other ingredients. Whiz for just 2-3 seconds until it’s mixed well. Take a sip and see if you want any more sweetness or maybe more lime flavor.
How To Make This Into A Cold Drink Or Cocktail
If you wanted this to be a cold drink you would still use the blender but not the hot water obviously. Pour it over ice but try using sprigs of fresh mint and slices of lime to garnish. To make it into a cocktail just add 1oz of white rum. It will still be low carb because white rum doesn’t have any carbs but it will also have a little caffeine kick as a bonus.
