Recently I bought a pint of Ben and Jerry’s and it was this flavor and I immediately wanted to create a low carb, sugar free and high protein version in my Ninja Creami. So I did just that! I made this Ninja Creami strawberry cheesecake ice cream and I even added some graham cracker crust to it and it was delicious!
But even without the crust it was still delicious and was not only low carb and sugar free but also high in protein. So it’s a guilt free keto dessert that tastes like a piece of strawberry cheesecake in a pint of ice cream. You’re going to love this healthy frozen dessert.

Recipe ingredients and substitutions.
The ingredients I used for this recipe were unsweetened almond milk, heavy whipping cream, cream cheese, frozen strawberries, Swerve sweetener and protein powder.
- almond milk, heavy cream and cream cheese – These 3 products make the base of the ice cream. I used more cream cheese to get that cheesecake flavor. I have not tried dairy free cream cheese so I’m not sure that would work.
Other substitutions you could try are coconut milk and coconut cream. You can even try sugar free cheesecake pudding mix or sugar free vanilla pudding mix. It has a few more carbs but you can use about 2 tablespoons for the flavor and thickener. - frozen strawberries – I keep these on hand in my freezer so that is what I used but you can easily use fresh strawberries and if you would prefer you can use other berries like blueberries, blackberries or raspberries. Frozen or fresh will work with each of these but note that raspberries actually have the least carbs.
- Ispopure Zerocarb vanilla protein powder – This is my go to protein powder because it has zero carbs and I like the flavor. You can use any brand of vanilla protein powder you want though. You can also use a vanilla protein shake. If you do this you will not want to add the almond milk or heavy cream though.
- Swerve sweetener – This is my go to sweetener but you can use your choice of sweetener or sugar substitute just as long as it’s a one to one substitute for sugar.
NOTE: If you do not use the flavored protein powder or protein shake, you will want to add more sweetener as well as ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste. Taste the ice cream base before freezing to see if you have the desired level of sweetness.

How to make keto Ninja Creami strawberry cheesecake ice cream.
Step 1: Add all the base ingredients except the pie crust if you are using that, to a high speed blender like a Vitamix. Blend until well combined. This is your ice cream base.
Step 2: Pour into the pint container that came with the Ninja Creami machine and attach the storage lid. Place on a flat surface in the freezer overnight.

Step 3: When ready to eat, take off the lid off the Creami pint and place in the outer bowl assembly, attach that lid and place in the Ninja Creami ice cream machine. Press the LITE cycle and run through. When done, take off the lid and look at the texture and consistency.
If it has a powdery texture like mine was below you want to run it through the Ninja Creami again using the LITE cycle. I like the LITE cycle better than the Re-Spin function but if you have experience running your own machine you do what you know works.

Step 4: After you run it through again it should look like mine does below. The texture is nice and creamy. If it’s still powdery, you can add a tablespoon of almond milk and run it through one more time but use the re-spin cycle this time and it should be fine.

Step 5: When done you can just eat the ice cream as it is for a strawberry cheesecake flavor. If you want to go next level you can add the pie crust.
I opted to use the pie crust instead of crushed graham cracker crumbs because it holds together better. However crushed graham crackers are an option as well.
Just break either into big chunks and mix through the ice cream by hand. You can crush them if you want finer pieces or do a combination of both. That’s up to you.

I ended up using 1/16 of the pie for the pint container. So I cut the pie crust into the 8 pieces and just used ½ of one of them. I ended up crumbling up the rest of the pie can put the crumbles in a ziplock bag. Then I froze them for other ice cream flavors.
Store leftovers in the pint container but make sure to smooth the surface so it’s flat before you re-freeze it. Please scroll down to view the printable recipe card.

Ninja Creami Tip: Try these ice cream containers!
I bought a set of these cute 6 oz ice cream containers a couple years ago and I find they work great with my leftover ice cream recipes. They work great for flavors that have mix ins because you don’t have to run them through the machine again but just have let them sit out for 5 minutes and they are soft enough to eat out of the container.
When you run ice cream that has mix-ins through the machine a second time the topping get crushed into too fine of pieces so that is when I like to use these containers.

Well I hope you like this keto NInja Creami strawberry cheesecake ice cream. I really love my Ninja Creami for homemade ice cream that has a boost of protein and is lower carb. It makes for a decadent frozen dessert or snack while on a low carb diet.

Ninja Creami Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream Recipe (keto, protein)
This decadent and delicious NInja Creami strawberry cheesecake ice cream recipe is low carb and high protein ice cream. So you can fee good about indulging in this sweet keto dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup strawberries (frozen or fresh strawberries)
- ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 scoop Isopure Zerocarb Vanilla Protein Powder
- 3 tablespoons Swerve sweetener (or sweetener of choice)
- 1/16 of prepared graham cracker crust (optional)
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a high speed blender (except crust if using) and blend until combined. Then pour into the pint container that came with the Ninja Creami ice cream maker. Place the storage lid on top and place on a level surface in the freezer. Freeze over night.
- When ready to eat, take off the lid from the frozen base and place into the outer assemble bowl and attach that lid. Put in the Ninja Creami machine and run through the LITE ice cream cycle. When done, check the texture and if it's powdery, place back in the machine and run through the LITE cycle again. By then it should be smooth and creamy. If it is not, add a tablespoon almond milk and run through one last time using the Re-Spin cycle and it should be fine. I only ran it through 2 times.
- Note you do not have to use the crust as the ice cream with rich and flavorful without it. And it will have less carbs and calories. However if you want to add the graham cracker crust, cut the pie crust into 8 pieces. Use ½ of a piece and break into pieces. Mix in with the ice cream and serve. You can break up the rest of the crust and place in a ziplock bag. Then store in the freezer for other recipes.
- NOTE: I don't like the use the mix-in cycle and prefer to add the toppings and mix by hand. This is because if you only eat half of the container and refreeze for another time, it will pulverize the toppings when you next run it through the machine. Aslo I can usually get 3 servings out these containers but the nutrition is for just 2 servings.
