Nobody ever says, “Hey, let’s go to St. George on vacation this year!” While not exactly a destination in its own right, St. George is the perfect starting place for some of my favorite day trips. This is the first of three days, a trip to Zion National Park.

I must admit that I love Zion’s park! So beautiful. We are headed to St. George in a few weeks and I am excited. What a hilarious story about your “donation” ending up as a gift for you and your fam! Definitely one worth sharing. Thanks for sharing at Snickerdoodle. Have a great week!

You’re lucky to be able to live out there. I lived in the SF Bay area for a few years right out of school, and there is no comparison with the scenic beauty compared to back east.
Another trip out to Utah is definitely in our plans.

My husband and I lived in Las Vegas for 25 years, and during that time we traveled to Utah many times, hiking and sightseeing at Zion and Bryce. You said that you might overuse the statement “nowhere else on earth”, but there really is “nowhere else on earth” as beautiful and breath taking as Utah. We also lived in Cedar City Utah for 4 years and if you ever get the chance to go to Brianhead Ski Resort or Cedar Breaks National Monument, you will love it also. I would love if you would drop by and share this at Celebrate It! blog party! It is where you can share how you celebrate the everyday things you do!

When I was in my 20s, I climbed Half Dome in Yosemite. Now that I’m looking toward 60, I think my days of being up high are over except in a plane.
Southwest Utah is the nicest part of the US. It’s tough to get to, but well worth the trip.
