Ingredients

  • 3 ½ lbs pork chops, thick cut (I had 5)
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup Swerve brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Sugar Free Maple syrup (Nature's Hollow)
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ teaspoon hot pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the pork chops and set aside.

  2. In a sauce pan, add the butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, dijon mustard, garlic and hot pepper flakes. Whisk unti the butter and sugar melt and everything is well combined. Let it simmer unt il it thickens and then take off the stove. Add in the extract and mix again.

  3. Place the pork chops on a hot grill. glaze the top size. Cook for 3 minutes then flip and glaze again. Keep doing this until you've cooked the pork chops for about 8 minutes on each side. If you have leftover glaze add it to the pork chops at the end too.

  4. NOTE: Because you are using sweeteners instead of sugar, the glaze my harden and crystalize when cooled. So try to use it when it's warm and if it hardens, just cook in the microwave for 30 seconds until melted again.

  5. NOTE: I used both bone in and bonelss pork chops. They were pretty thick (about 1 inch thick) so grilling times may vary.
