Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Verde
Such an easy and tasty meal made in your slow cooker. Use this shredded chicken over rice, in tortillas or as is.

chicken
breasts and thighs, boneless, skinless

lime
juiced

teaspoon
crushed garlic

pepper

salt

cumin

teaspoon
oregano

onion
sliced

lb
tomatillos
cleaned and quartered

banana peppers
seeded and chopped

avocado and cilantro to garnish and a squeeze of lime

Add your chicken to the bottom of the slow cooker.

On top, add all your tomatillos and banana peppers.

In a small bowl, add our lime juice and spices and pour over the chicken and veggies.

Let cook on low all day. Mine took 8 hours.

Shred chicken and mix well.

Server over rice, in tortillas, or as is.

Garnish with a squeeze of lime, cilantro, avocados and/or sour cream. (I would definitely suggest the squeeze of lime and cilantro though.)
