We eat alot of chicken in my house so when it goes on sale I like buy large quantities and freeze it. I found the easiest way to store it in the freezer is to take each piece or portion of chicken that you like to cook with (1 chicken breast in my case) and put it in a sandwich bag that does not have a ziplock. These sandwich bags are much cheaper than ziplock bags and are perfect separating the chicken for easy handling. So you wrap each portioin in a sandwich baggie and then put those in a larger freezer ziplock bag. That way you can take out one at a time or as many as you like.
I also do this with ground meat. I buy in bulk and then make ¼ pound portions in the baggies and then in the larger freezer bag.
So that’s your tip for the day!
