This calendula infused bath & body oil is natural and healing to the body using calendula flowers and pure essential oils.I learned about calendula back when my sister and I had an herbal gift shop. My sister was more of the gardener but I always liked to learn about the healing properties of plants. Calendula is such a plant as it is an edible and medicinal plant. It is know for it’s healing properties to the skin for it is anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. It is used topically for stings, rashes, sunburns, swelling and eczema.Which is why I thought I’d make this infused body oil for summer. I spend a lot of time in the sun and I thought it would be healing to my skin.
I used the same recipe of essential oils as I did my Bath & Body Oil. Except I went one step further and infused the oil with calendula first. My sister was nice enough to give me her left over calendula from a post she wrote about herb infused oils and vinegars which you can read about here.
All I did was add some calendula to apricot kernel oil and let it sit for a couple weeks. Then I drained the oil using a coffee filter and added my favorite essential oils.

I made a pretty label for my bottle using PicMonkey which is an awesome online photo editing and graphic design site that has both free and paid subscriptions. If you would like to print these labels I made, just click on it below and download or print the PDF file. It’s a page of labels for your jars. These would make nice gifts for friends and family or if you decide to keep it for yourself and indulge a little bit!
By the way if you are into aromatherapy or like to make your own teas, spice blends or body products you can find just about everything you can imagine at Mountain Rose Herbs. I was really impressed with their selection and quality.
Note: I am an affiliate of both PicMonkey and Mountain Rose Herbs. If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional. These commissions help with the costs of this blog, so thank you! I really like these companies and am very happy to promote their products.
