I love food. I love to eat it, cook it and even shop for it. I grew up in a large family where my father was Lebanese and my mother was Irish, Scottish and German. My mother learned how to make all those wonderful Middle Eastern specialties like kibbee, mohrabia, spinach pies, and even baklava. She was a wonderful cook and probably could have taught me a lot but unfortunately she died of ovarian cancer when I was 30 and single and not really interested in cooking and homemaking. I think we would have had a lot in common and interests to share if she had lived.
So back to the food and love I have for all aspects of it. I guess you can say my food philosophy runs toward a cleaner, paleo, low carb diet. I want to stay healthy for my little boy and I want to feed my family healthy foods so this is the path I steer towards. That doesn’t mean I am anti-bread or pasta but try to cook those types of dishes sparingly. Nothing is more nourishing and loving than to make homemade bread or pasta for my family. These are two things that I’d like to master.
Most other recipes on this site will be about products I love, low carb deserts, healthy vegetable side dishes and soups, crockpot meals and more. I also want to share with you my little tips and secrets to keeping organized (as this is something I struggle with) and to save money. Please feel free to ask questions or add suggestions!
